WOW 1st answer by Marshal is so rude. I am asking the question to learn. If you know so much about the bible you would know God wants you to spread his word not be rude when someone asks about him.

As mention in New Testament, they are not husband or wife in Heaven. Most people would accept it as is, but most did not realized that Jesus meant that if they married not under God they would not be married in Heaven.
It is illogical to think there is no marrige in Heaven. Why God would ask us to get married now, and say we not married in Heaven?
I know many of you dislike LDS doctrine, but
Here is where LDS doctrine is different and practical, in which LDS believe that marriage is eternal and forever, if you married under the correct authority.
And that family can be together, and becomes part of Gods family.

This is one of the questions I used to ask when I was a teen and searching for the truth in my very Christian southern baptist family. The answers I got were very dissappointing at best. But here's the most common one they agreed on: Somewhere in the bible it says there will be no giving or taking of marraige vows in heaven. So they use that verse to tell people that we are not going to be married to anyone, or have gender issues or sex in heaven. Instead we are supposedly all meshed together as a bride for Jesus. I am now an atheist. And glad of it. Peace

Just from what I know of scripture and my own personal beliefs, I believe that if your first spouse dies, then you are free to remarry if you wish. I think that you will simply know both people in Heaven and feel close to them both. I do not believe that there is marriage in Heaven, the Bible does not say that. But I do think that we will recognize each other. It will be different than Earthly relationships though, something we simply cannot yet comprehend. : ) Hope that helps.

simple...
Matthew 22:1-3
1And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
2The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
3And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
Matthew 22:30
30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
Mark 12:24-26
24And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
26And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
in other words you're not married in heaven

Jesus specifically said that there would be no marriage in heaven but His children "when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven." Mark 12.
Having said that, if your spouse dies, you are free to marry again.
god bless

You obviously have not been doing your bible reading. This question has been asked by the Pharisees in the scripture.
Look it up. Do some homework.
