I am Agnostic but my parents attempted to raise me Catholic.
Maybe myself and others who don't believe in religion want to chime in because we want to help others snap out of the "MATRIX" of lies and fairy tales!
I believe in the possibility of a God.
All religions are low tech mind control software. Stories and fables designed to paint pictures and associations of pain or pleasure to various things they want you to do or not do.
Mind software for mass population control of humans.

That's not a very good comparison.
Maybe, why do men discuss symptoms of PMS, they don't know how it is, but they do experience the effects of it.
Atheists discuss religion, because it seems to be that a lot of believers are trying to use religious influence in politics to get certain laws passed. I can agree with atheists that it is wrong. When/if I vote, I vote on the person's overall vision. (Mostly democratic)

I looks like the christians are outnumbered in this forum. The Bible says that only one tenth of the population will be left after whatever is going to happen, happens. The die off of the baby boomers, and no work force to replace them, could be a big part of it. All the cities will crumble. The great amount of athiests and others, reflects the one tenth ratio. Peace.

It's important to keep in mind the evils that religion has done to atheists down thru the centuries. The inquisitions and tribunals have killed many of us. We have the right to keep an eye on religious fanatics and make sure they aren't thinking of more crusades of killing in their lord's name. I think like alcohol, it can be uncontrollable in their mind.

Yup.
The believers really don't want to hear the correct answers to these questions, for the most part. Kinda like alcoholics, it seems.

No, it's not the same.
Most atheists here were raised christian, and know just as much, if not more about religion than yourself.
How much do you know about Zeus? Are you unqualified to say he is NOT THE god? I doubt it.
