Leftovers are served on Thursday's

Every New Car Line that Sells in the United States deliver's every New Car to a Dealer, Sales District Office, Home Office or Sold to a Rental Car Company's warehouse.

New Cars at the Dealer Just sit there til Sold to the Customer or Dealer Traded. If a Dealer Signs for a Car off the transport its on a Bank Floor plan and the Main company ((GM FORD Toyota Nissan BMW etc...)) gets their money right then. And the Dealer Owns them as a wholesaler for resale. Even the Company Stores use floor plans with a board of directors. I've seen and bought cars that have sat on the Lot for over 12 months or more. And made a great deal each time. But I had to go over them real close if they where a Demo for a while...

Always Good to Ask question's Before shopping...

They all get sold sooner or later. Few "new" cars from previous model years are still on dealer's lots more than a few months past the new model releases. Typically they're sold off at a discount to clear them out. They never go back to the manufacturer though some dealers may arrange inventory swaps.

No you can't buy them. Instead of selling them at a reduced price and try to get something for them, car company's put them in a big warehouse and let them decompose until they are worthless and a total loss.

Most dealerships will sell them, at a somewhat reduced price, after the newer ones arrive. If they have too many, they may need to sell them back to the company, rather than to individuals.
