My brother Abd77 once wrote:
It is interesting to note that in all the Bible and the Quran, only one religion is said to be approved by God, and this religion is Islam (Quran 5:30).
In the Bible we find neither the words “Christianity” nor “Judaïsm”.
Jesus actually never pronounced the words “Christian” and “Christianity” in all his life.
The word “Christian” was created long after Jesus’ departure, as the Bible clearly shows it (Acts 11:26).
Jesus never said he had come to create a new religion. If he had wanted to, don’t you think he wouldn’t have clearly said it, and named that religion, like the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad clearly did. But Jesus never did.
Jesus also never called to build churches (these places full of images and statues, which clearly contradicts God’s 2nd Commandment: “You shall make no image or representation of whatever is in Heaven or here on Earth.” Exodus 20:4). And Jesus taught in synagogues according to the Bible, i.e. places where like in mosques there are no images nor statues.
As for the word “Judaïsm”, it describes more an ethnic group than a religion (the descendants of Juda and by extension of his father Jacob), that’s why you find some people calling themselves “atheist Jew”. And how could someone think that God limited the knowledge of the Truth about the One True God to only one people and keep all the others ignorant. Yet Judaïsm rejects all non Jewish Prophets, it is not Universal contrary to Islam that claims that God sent Prophets to all peoples.
Now let’s see how Jesus really lived according to the Bible:
-Like Muslims, Jesus never ate pork (Moses’ law that Jesus taught, Leviticus 11:7,8)
-Like Muslims, Jesus taught and practiced fasting (Luke 5:35; Mat 4:2 and 6:16)
-Like Muslims, when Jesus met his friends or disciples, he said to them “peace be upon you” (Luke 24:36), “salam aleikoum” in Arabic
-Like Muslims, Jesus was circumcised (Luke 2:21)
-Like Muslims Jesus prayed with “his face onto the ground” (Matthew 26:39)
By the way, still according to the Bible, all Prophets prayed their face onto the ground:
Joshua fell his face upon the earth (Joshua 5:4)
Moses and Aaron fell their face onto the ground (Numbers 20:6)
Abraham fell on his face, and God spake to him (Genesis 17:3)
Jesus fell his face onto the ground (Matthew 26:39)
I don't know about you, but I've never seen a Christian pray the way Jesus did according to the Bible (his face onto the ground).
God knows best
Peace and Love

Only one religion can be right. If you believe in God, then the order in the universe that he created suggests that he is a God of order. This principle must apply to all of his concerns, not just the things he makes and does, but also the relationships his worshippers have with him. If this is not the case, then there is a chink of disorder in him somewhere and he is no God at all.
The creator is a God of supreme order and wants his worshippers to worship him in the way that he chooses. This means one way and not a whole load of different ways like spokes in a wheel leading to the same hub.
For instance, some say that God is a trinity, others say he is a single person. How can both be true? Some say that when we die, we live on in another realm, some say that when we die, we are totally dead. Again, how can both be true?
This actually helps clear up matters quite a bit. What I mean is that you can have many lies told about the one thing, but only one truth. Therefore, if several groups claiming to be different say the same thing about a certain thing, but only one group says something completely different, then that one group is most likely to be telling the truth and is at least worth investigating.
We can insert a specific example here: what the various groups say about the condition of the dead. Most religions state categorically that the dead live on in another realm, even if their holy book says otherwise. I think even Buddhists believe in a form of immortality - reincarnation. I recently heard that Jews believe in going to heaven when they die, but I'm not sure if that's true. Certainly, Catholics and protestants - at least officially - believe in the instant heavenly reward. Jehovah's Witnesses are the only religious group that teach from the Bible that when you are dead, you are totally dead (Ecclesiastes 9: 5,10) There are quite a few other verse from the Bible that explain it further. However, the Bible also outlines a hope for the dead - the resurrection. (John chapter 11 is perhaps the foremost chapter that explains the resurrection hope and how jews felt about it in the first century)
With regard to other aspects of worship, Jehovah's Witnesses are also unique: The use of God's name, the full nature of God, God's Kingdom, the earthly paradise, the role of Jesus Christ. Further information can be obtain at this web site if you feel inclined to look.

I don't see the logic in that statement. All religions ARE right, because they all come from one source: God. Religion is not a set of rules or one limited canon of scripture. It is a spiritual, evolutionary process. Even as human beings evolve physically, so too do we evolve spiritually. In every age a Messenger of God appears who reveals teachings which are suitable to the time and place in which He appears. These contain both a changeable element which differs in each religion (i.e. external laws and practices) and an unchangeable element which is eternal (i.e. virtues and eternal spiritual teachings). Thus did Baha'u'llah write: "This is the changeless Faith of God, eternal in the past, eternal in the future."
PS. To those above who say that only Christianity is right. That is the claim made by almost every group of religionists after the passing of their Founder. However, such belief in finality and exclusivity never originates in the Founder's own writings. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life" but He was speaking as a Mouthpiece of God, a Messenger of God. Every Messenger of God is the "way, the truth and the life", every Messenger of God is the Logos (Word) made flesh. They are all perfect Mirrors of God, lamps of the same light, each the return of all the previous, each one the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the Seal of the Prophets.
Jesus never denied the possibility that other religions were true. He never condemned Buddha, Krishna, Zoroaster, etc. He simply existed within a Mosaic framework and spoke to people about themes which they could understand. If He were to speak to people of Buddhist or Hindu background, He would have related His Message to their beliefs and would have acknowledge the truth of their faiths as well.

Since religions contradict each other, they aren't all right. So, we can dismiss that one.
Are they all wrong? I'd say that all strong religions (meaning those that support active deities) are all wrong. After all, if a god does exist, then his presence should be easy to ascertain. The miracles could not be contradicted. Everyone would know about his presence. But, no single strong religion fulfills these criteria.
Weak religions can survive this. Desim, for example. You can't know it's wrong, since God doesn't make himself known. For all intents and purposes, a deist lives his life much like an atheist. His actions on Earth will not be measured by an apathetic god.
So, all religions are wrong--the ones that make an active claim to a god.
Or to quote Buffalo Springfield: Nobody's right, if everybody's wrong.
But yes, I agree with the statement: If all religions are right, then all are wrong. It only takes two religions to claim exclusivity to make this statement correct. Since we can find two religions (Mormonism and Baptist, for example), then we have two conflicting religions. If all religions are right, then both religions are correct, which nullifies all other religions (including each other).
Fun language, that.

Not every religion claims to be correct to the exclusion of all others. Several faiths admit the possibility, if not the existence, of other correct paths. Also, the central claims of some religions may not interfere with the central claims of other religions, hence things like Christians who are practicing Buddhists.

Wrong if not teaching all of the Bible truth. Example: The Ten Comanments were modify by the biggest popular Church by erasing 2 of 10= 8 comandments. And from those 8, they divided 2 in 4 to complete 10.
Specifically:
* Adoration to idols (images and saints), contrary to comandment, "not have other gods... or images..."
* they changed Satuday Sabbath to Sunday because a matter of tradition, popularity and convenience instead of obeying God.
that kind of pseudo christians are not following Jesus teachings. The fact that Jesus nail on the cross the Law, doesn't mean that you dont have to obey the 10 Comandments, nooo!
Inmortality of the soul is part of Satan's lies when he told Eva: "Ye shall not die". We sinners will die and nothing of our lives continues after death. If we are saved by Jesus, then God will give us inmortality in Heaven; only after His Second Comming on Earth.
Creation is another subject attacked by other religions. Why not believe that God create this world and the whole Universe, instead of inventing theories like Evolution!
The Bible says we are saved if we believe in Jesus our Saviour, not by works.
The anti-Christ is Satan and all religious system fighting against: God's Law (10 Conmandments), His Church and His teachings in the Bible and prophets.
The list can continue, but now, the important is that Jesus will surely come to make this a new World. And He invites you to become a true Christian, not as member of a religious group, but obeying Gods Word.

Of course, Mr. Hume's statement is ridiculous. Even a cursory comparative study of world religion would expose the fact that no more than one could be right, however, all can be wrong.

Yes all religions are corrupted, The anti christ came and scattered the sheep of the first church, the apostles went to the four corners of the earth and began the churches in their respective regions. I think that the 4 corners in the U.S. have a mystical experience if you go there.
because all religions corrupt their own scriptures the legacy they give us has become False doctrines and false beliefs and false teachings.
The Mormon church abolutely taught me this belief that christianity had to become APOSTATE from the truth before Jesus could return again. but even as i speak I KNOW absolutely that the traditions with the LDS church have become apostate as well. because of the Secret Combination in the church leadership, I dont know about their Presidency or their apostles, but i do know some apostles have been ex communicated.
There is more to being right than standing at the pulpit and saying WE have a BIBLE and we need nothing else, or for the jews We Have the "prophets" and are children of abraham, therefore we (cannot be liars) we have the truth, or the muslims that continually use mohammeds name in vain but say PBUH, and make it VAIN every time they do it, in the guise of be perfect and holy.
Holiness doesnt Roll down hill like some forms of shizt.!
one must show worthiness before one is holy.

Following your question, let's say all religions are wrong. But we have to follow one that we feel is more right. So choose the one that is more right among the wrong ones. No humans can go without religion. Even those who claim the world is godless, could be following a belief or faith that is godless. Honest. Can anyone deny that? Or what is our interpretation of religion?

No religion is right. Religion is just a personal way of seeing Deity. A story created about these deities and their actions on Earth are myths.
If we could really understand Deity, that would mean God is weaker than humans. In my opinion, I know you better than I understand Deity. They all have a little truth to them, but all are ultimately wrong.
