Hire a donkey train to trek across to India. Five donks, will be enough carrying 10lbs each animal. Keep them well fed and watered with plenty of stop-over camping sites. The great thing is it will be cheaper 'cos you will be collecting donations to charity on the way. OK, I know it won't arrive for a year or so, but the friends you will make on the way, and the whole experience, will be unforgettable!
Don't be surprised if British Airways adopts this mode of excess baggage transport.
My friend has just commented that BA already use it, which explains the long wait for baggage sometimes!
