I am 14 and my parents are always coming up with strange punishments. My mom says she would spank me if i need it and at night if i wake my younger brothers i get spanked and sent to bed.
Sometimes i get put to bed early for a month like real early half six.
If i act like a lil kid my mum threatens to put me in a diaper, sometimes she makes me go for a nap if im acting like a baby in her eyes.
If we dont eat our dinner in our house we have to go tobed.
I get grounded and home boot camp too it all depends.
Do any of these things happen to you?I come from a big family and my parents always take sides against us kids is that fair?
Does your 14yr old have a bedtime....or do you have a bedtime if u r 14?

OK,
At 14 you are too old to be spanked. I personally don't believe parents should ever hit their kids for any reason.
Using humiliation/shaming (i.e threatening with diapers, spanking) is never good.
What time you go to bed has a lot to do with what time you have to get up. You need about 9 hours of sleep. When I was 14, I knew this and went to bed on my own. 6:30 is way too early . You'll be up at 3:30 AM.
Depending on what wrongdoings you have done, grounding, removal of priveleges, cutting allowance, required to do some work and otherwise attone for your wrongdoings is all appropriate.

Since you are 14, you do need to listen to your parents. Nobody's perfect, but really work hard to be on your best behavior for a month, to show her that se doesn't need to use all these punishments.

I have a 15, 14, & 10 yr. old. All my kids have a 9pm bedtime. In our house that means time to go to your room to wind down, read a book for few mins, whatever just so it's quiet. They are usually asleep by 9:30. If they aren't asleep by ten then I go around telling them lights out no ifs ands or buts. They usually don't have a problem with this. I haven't spanked my 15 & 10 yr olds in several yrs. The 14 yr old has probably gotten the most spankings but it's been at least two yrs since the last one.

My 15 yr old is a girl and she loves to be on the go, so for punishment I usually make her stay home.

My 14 & 10 yr olds are boys and they each have a Playstation, so thats what they lose if they get in trouble.

When I was 14 I had a bed time but for your parents to make you take a nap. You are to old for that. At the age of 14, you should get grounded for whatever you did, or have your tv or radio or something like that taken away for a period of time. But the way your parents or mom is doing it is kind of babying you. I feel sorry for you. But just try not to get in trouble. Good luck

Parents often think you don't have the brains for talking to them about what's up. They assume you can't make a deal that is fair to them and you. As soon as you make them realize that they have to talk to you like a 14 year old and not a 10 year old, then things will be different.

Here's the trick for throwing your parents off track... Go beyond their expectations on cleaning, or grades, or being home on time, or even in conversations with them...

it works, and most parents will treat you more grown up if you show them you're deserving of it

there is no such aspect as a good punishment. Punished childrens develop into aggressive and sneaky of their young children - that is what you've chanced on. The extra you punish, the added you willchronic a wedge into your relationship, and the more serious he will behave. the in effortless words thanks to strengthen little ones is with genuine self-discipline (meaning 'coaching', not 'taking revenge') interior the context of unconditional love. motives, discussions, compromises, the occasional organic or logical outcomes, and a large number of hugs and encouragement. it could be too overdue to rebuild your relationship completely, yet in case you sit down consisting of your teen and apologise for a way you've dealt with him, that ought to a minimum of be a commencing factor.

I dont punish my kids. I talk to them. Your parents seem overly abusive when it comes to punishment. Spanking a 14 year old boy? Does your mom want you to be a sissy or a girl? She also threatens to put you in a diaper and take naps? Yes I think your mom has some issues. You should suggest she see a therapist and if she gets mad then kick her in the *** and run run run.

No my 14 yr old goes to bed when she wants too. She gets her cell phone taken away if she does something wrong. As far as dinner goes if she is not hugery she doesn't have to eat. It sounds like your parents are treating you like a baby.
