If given a chance of going to only one of these fictional places to preach in the hope that these "sinners" will accept Jesus, which one will you choose?

Place: NNN
Audience: Adulterers

Place: ABC
Audience: Warlords

Place: XYZ
Audience: Homosexuals

That's really a hard one because we all sin and need Jesus. Jesus himself loved and cared about all of these people. I probably would choose the main one that I am guilty of so that I could relate to the people who were in need of Jesus.

Although I would love to preach to all of them, I would have to choose Place NNN, because I'd want to reach as many people as possible, and I believe there are more adulterers than there are warlords or homosexuals.

I am guessing the bent of your question is to make people choose which group is the worst sinners. But if that is true, it is flawed. There aren't any worse than any others. We are all sinners and all equally guilty.

My choice would be to go to the homosexuals, but only because that is my calling. I was once one of them and I found freedom from that lifestyle through Jesus. I feel that God has placed a call on my life to go and share His love with this specific group. I wouldn't preach at them anymore than I'd preach at anyone else. That would be pointless. People don't respond to preaching, they respond to love and kindness. That is what Jesus wants me to do with my life.

Whichever was closest.
But the Warlords would be the toughest audience.
You hear about a lot more redeemed homosexuals and repentant adulterers than you do about warlords seeing the light...

Well, I'd be a little nervous that the warlords might be violent towards me. Otherwise, what is the difference? All sin is the same to God and we have all sinned. You and I are no better than the groups you have mentioned. We are saved by grace.

It isn't our place to chose one particular group that might need saving. In fact, we are called as witnesses only. It is God, working through the Holy Spirit, that works in a man's heart (gender-neutral usage for our gender-sensitive friends) and brings him to the realization that he needs God.

It is my belief that there is a "God-shaped empty space" in all of us that we continually try to fill. The evidence in this lies all about us as people futilly try to fill this void with money, sex, drugs, power, etc., etc., etc.. And yet they are lonely, unhappy, angry, etc., etc., etc.. Once one answers this "call from God" so to speak, one realizes that the void is now full and even more so ... to the point that one now wants to share what he has recieved with those around him. Where one was once a drain on mankind, now one becomes a source of vitality for mankind.

Back to your question. Which group do you believe needs Jesus the most? I venture to say that we ALL do. What do you think?

ABC. I might try my luck preaching peace among warlords. After all, I think Peace and Forgiveness is the hardest lesson to teach anyone.

no point in going to fictional places, no time to waste, you see. We are busy with going to real places ministering to the needs of the people in the love of Jesus, which means feeding the hungry, clothing the naked helping the homeless & those who are addicts. Not bragging but we're having positive influence & success with our efforts.
