-Bring the water to a boil
-Start the 11 minute hour glass and the 7 minute hour glass at the same time
-When the 7 minute hour glass runs out >
-Drop the egg in the boiling water - you'll have 4 minutes remaining in the 11 minute.
-Turn the 11 minute hour glass over when depleted for a total on 15 minutes.

You need a stove to boil the eggs.
First, invert both hourglasses. Let them start ticking.
When the 7-min glass is just finished, there are 4 min left in the other glass. TIME ELAPSED = 7 min
No turn the 7-min glass immediately. Let the 11-min glass complete itself. When it completes, TIME ELAPSED = 4 min
It means also during this time 4 min of sand have fallen down in the 7 min glass, so invert that 7-min glass immediately & let it complete, TIME ELAPSED = 4 min
There you are, 7 + 4 + 4 = 15 min.

start both timers- when 7 min timer is done start your egg--leaves 4 min on 11 min timer-- when it finishes flip the 11 min timer -- 4min + 11 min = 15min.
