Any war is going heighten the chances of a retaliatory attack on the homeland. The fact of the matter is, not going to war doesnt help us any either. There is a problem in the Middle East, there has been forever! We ignored it long enough until finally 9\11 happened. We were attacked on our own soil by the terrorist groups we neglicted to take care of, it is now time to solve that problem. When we first decided to go to war everyone was supportive, EVERYONE even the libs wanted to see something happen. Now it seems like everyone completely forgot 9/11. everyone just wants to ignore the worlds problems and complain about how they cant afford to drive their SUV. WAKE UP! bush said going into this war that it would be a tough one and we would all have to stick it out together, when he said that the country united, i wonder what happened to the American flags i used to to see flying outside of homes. My answer to you yes the chance of attacks will put us in bigger danger, but not escalating the war will only give them a better chance at really messing things up. We think 2 towers falling, 1/5 of the pentagon gone, and 200 heros on a plane dying is bad....... what are we going to do if they go nuclear? at least if we are in the middle east the rag head terrorists have to be more careful about planning.....

Go Red, vote repub

Escalating the war in Irak will only help to protect the USA and other free countries by denying Al-Qaida and other terror organizations another weak country to train in and build up in.

We didn't actually go into Irak because of 9/11, we went into Afghanistan because of 9/11.

We went into Irak because he refused to meet the rules set forth by UN mandates. The world agreed to rules for Saddam to meet, he refused and an Allied force (not just the USA) went in to make him comply.
Al-Qaida and News BS are trying hard to steer the public around the world. Saddam killed more muslims during his time in office then the Allied forces did so far.
Problem is, so many freaks and fanatics are filtering into Irak, to include Al-Qaida, to make it a holy war.
If we leave they will fester and grow. And when strong enough they will attack free countries, just like when Al-Qaida was allowed to live and train in Afghanistan under the Talliban.

That is a question NO ONE knows the answer to. I need to ask ,what were we doing to cause the acts of violence against the world trade center towers.? I do not think this is a cause and effect situation . Its just that they want to. no reason necessary except their Allah says kill infidels.

Not necessarily. We have to help the Iraqis now, they want us to stay and since our government started this war, they need to help them gain control if it is possible. It is now our OBLIGATION to remain as long as they ask us to. Our country caused alot of problems there. A simple assassination team could have taken out Sadaam without innocent citizens ever being harmed !!
Like it or not, we owe it to those people to finish and help them rebuild.

No , it reduces the possibility.
You only win a war, when you take it to the enemies home ground.
