I have the Pentax *ist DL. Love the camera. I was thinking of getting the Pentax K100D for the SR.

The SR works, but not as effectively as the IS systems on the smaller digicams. Here's an unbiased test so that you can see exactly how much benefit you'll get from the SR.

You might be better off getting a lens that's a stop or two faster?

I have ist*DS I would not trade for the K100D which may well be a nice camera, but one that does no have any great advantage over what you and I already have. If you can afford it, go for the K10D which shows a marked advance - in particular a 10mega pixel sensor.
