the best 1's r never free.
ad-aware is good, better than nothing!
i prefer 2 pay 4 Norton, although it sometimes won't play well with others & causing conflicts galore, i've never had a problem i couldn't figure out and the Virus/spy ware is regularly up-dated.

My setup is AVG anti virus upgraded to the purchased version, the free version of Zone Alarm as the firewall , and in addition I have Webroot Spysweeper and Window Washer. All of these products are very effective and trouble free and updates etc have been prompt and very quick to download. I can strongly recommend all of these products. I quite have 3 pc's on my table plus a computing device and all 4 of them are applying Microsoft protection necessities. that's a loose application from Microsoft. No limits, no tricks. that's an exceedingly sturdy anti virus application.

Continue using AVG, if you don't want to spend money on buying anti-viruses. It is good enough for personal use.

If you want to pay Norton Antivirus. For free AVG Free is as good but you get no support for free.

AVG has a free version that's pretty good. Email scanner and all kinds of stuff.

AVIRA antivirus is the best, it has personal free and personal premium versions.
Personal free is just an antivirus and free
premium is not free but it is really powerful with its extras

AVG is as good as it gets.
AVAST is also good. Both are free
