Do you have an oven fan or hood fan over your stove? If so turn it on when you are cooking. Has someone complained about your hair smelling bad? If not I think you may be obssessing over something that only you seem to be aware of. Try spraying a little perfume over your hair. You can also use a powder puff and puff a little cornstarch on your hair and then vigorously brush it out and it will not only take the smell out but will also remove some of the oil and fluff it up a bit.

Where a head wrap while you are cooking and that will block the odors.

Sleep with a sleeping cap on and put in a dry fabric softener cloth.

Have you tried powder shampoo? Or the No-Rinse shampoo? Either of those should help.
