If we do another pull out when the going gets tough we send a poor signal to all the bad guys out there.
We need more troops NOW. We should have gone in there with a huge force, slammed the door shut then slowly drawn down. But we left too many doors open due to not enough troops and now the wound has turned to an infection.
Al Queada was in Somolia our first time there. They told Adid that if he shot down a helicopter the ground troops would move so as not to leave anyone behind. Then he could pin down the US troops and fight on his rules. Also that dead soldiers could break the US Resolve and we would leave. Well guess what, they did exaclty that and our news services were used like pawns, and Clinton and his boys pulled everybody out.
Should we do the same now in Irak? What about the honor and loss of life and limb by the soldiers in Irak up to now. Should we pull out and make their losses be for nothing?
Most Irak citizens are glad we are there and sooooo happy to be rid of Saddam. What you see on the news is what the news wants to show you. We need to get in there, take off the boxing gloves and teach Al-Qeada and all the other punks trying to take over about US and Allied resolve. And let the citizens of Irak live in peace once again.
Mark my words, if we pull out now things around the world will only get worse for everyone everywhere!!! Terrorism, starvation, dictators etc...

If called on to return to service in support of troop surge I would go. I don't care how many civilians support or don't support Bush's plan what I care about is if it has the support of the troops, they are the ones who know what is needed. All the people who express their opinions and rants on this issue who have never been in the Middle East or for that matter never served in the military don't have the experience in my opinion to know the best course of action. I think one would have to be involved in Iraq directly to know what is best.

I support the measure, I am not serving and will not. Even if I joined the military today, I would not be combat ready until this war was over. And I don't think I'd make a good soldier. But supporting the decision to keep fighting doesn't mean you have to join. Similarly, opposing the decision doesn't mean you have to make up stories and conspiracy theories to justify your position.

I served, my kids are still to young, but plan to join when 18. Before you open your mouth, we are an upper middle class family that does not have to rely on the military for a job, just believe in doing the right thing.
By the way, the minority in America are the anti-war crowd, they just happen to be the loudest. I don't consider them un-patriotic, but hope they realize that it is because of people like myself that they still have the right to question their government.

If I supported such a war (which I DON'T) I would feel quilty playing arm-chair soldier by not joining in on the fight!
If you support this war, our troops need your help real bad!

We need to escalate the rhetoric here at home. We need to demand that our Representatives and our Senators rein in our radical cowboy president and bring our troops home NOW.

Same old typical liberal mentality I saw in the 60's if you don't have any personal experience you have no right to support something. What logic! can you imagine if we applied this to presidents that says you can't be president unless you served in the arm forces the illogic of liberals never cease to amaze me.

You are an idiot.
When the democrats raise taxes and cut the legs out from under our economy, I'm sure you will volunteer to quit your job and send more money to Washington.
