how can you build a house in a land using a contractor builder in USA?

If you had certain amount of money and wanted to buy a land in USA say in a fast growing city how would you start and what kind of things would you do?

This is too open-ended. If you were driving and discovered an area you like, you will have to find how/if it is zoned. You may not be able to build a house there, or may have requirements on size, lot coverage, style colors. It all depends on the state, town or area you are looking at.

Assuming it is zoned for what you want, you will have to have plans to get you building permits. Then the fun starts.

Actually, if I were you, I'd read, a book called "The Millionaire Mind." 80% of all millionaires buy existing houses, something to think about.
