Your chihuahua's ear will stand up on their own as your puppy gets a little older. When they are really young pups the ears flop down - and sometimes one will stand up before the other. When they loose their baby teeth sometimes they will flop back down - but eventually will stand back up again. The muscles around the ears have to strengthen before the ears start to stand up - just give it some time.:)

Some Chihuahuas ears stand up earlier than others. They will eventually stand up on their own, as the puppy gets older. I have #3 4 month old Chihuahuas. Two of the puppies ears, stood up at about 8 weeks, and one of the puppies still has his ears flopped down. It just depends on the puppy. Whether their ears are up or down, they are still really adorable. Just give it some time.

I do own many chihuahuas and as a rule, most of the ears will stand by the time they are 6 months of age. Sometimes it can take a little longer. There are many different types of chihuahuas and some of their ears do not get firm and only stand up when they are at attention. It just depends on the type you have. Appleheads usually have firm ears and the deerheads usally stay kinda relaxed except when excited. Hope I have helped!

Massage your Dog's ears.. it is a great bonding experience for you and your dog. He or she generally will enjoy it and it helps get muscle stimulation and increase blood flow though the ears, things need, for the ears to stand up... or you can simply wait for them to do it on their own as the puppy gets older

Well i have two chihuahuas it depend on how old it is but my dog ears stand up if i blow on them and if they see another dog.

hi,
you can post them yourself with masking tape and strong paper. just punch in posting dog's ears in the search and the sight with posting your dog's ear will pop up and give instructions, this is non surgical and works great for trainig their ears. a boston terrier sight will pop up but the instructions are the same.

i didn't have a Chihuahua but i did have a dog who had ears like one. is he new to your house. their ears usually go up when they are happy. ears back they are nervous or scared. give it time.

get him excited or play with him make some sort of noise twards him or he might not be able to hear well
