Let us get a few facts clear :
1. One pound of fat that has been stored in the subcutaneous tissues of the body is equivalent to 3500 Calories.
2. if one diet really hard you will be ,to the most , 500 calories /day below the minimum needed for the systems of the body to work at rest (Basal Metabolic Rate).
3. In theory therefore you will lose one pound of fat in (3500/ 500) =7 days.
As it shows, diet only will be a slow process and you run the risk of the body slowing down its metabolic process.
Of course if you combine 1.cardio and 2. appropriate supplements ,you will be able to burn the fat faster and at a continuous rate.
So COUNT YOUR CALORIES ; DO CARDIO : Add a good MULTIVITAMIN & MULTIMINERAL.......THIS IS THE SUREST SHORTCUT.
Best of luck

Anyone claiming to be able to answer this question without further details is giving bad advice.
For example it will be much harder for someone who is already fit and lean to lose 5 kilos, than for someone who is unfit and obese to lose 15 kilos, as the 5 kilos are a larger proportion of the lean person's overall body mass.
We therefore need to know your height, weight, body fat percentage etc.
Without that information all that can be said is this. If you are very overweight, a very strict diet may INITIALLY help you lose weight quickly. However, your body will soon go into famine mode and your metabolism will slow to accommodate the low-cal diet.
Therefore the cunning plan is not simply to rely on "dieting" but to exercise!!!!
5 days a week of cardio (running, cycling, kick boxing, rowing, skipping rope...) for at least 30 mins each time and you'll soon lose weight.
A healthy rate of weight loss is 2lbs per week, so no more than 8lb per month. However, if you are obese and have never exercised before you may lose weight at a faster rate.

Well if its healthy. The healthy range would be 8 lbs give or take a few pounds. In order for your weight loss to be long term, you have to do it S_L_O_W_L_Y which mean no more than 2 lbs per week. Otherwise, anything you lose higher than that could be muscle mass. Remember to always incorporate exercise in your plan. Diet is only 80% of your results the other 20% comes from exercise. Diets alone don't work in long term.

Depends. I was on a strict diet for 3 weeks and lost 10 pounds. I went from 118 to 108 (I'm 5ft and 19 years old). It depends on your age, level of fitness, etc. If you are extremely over-weight, making such a sudden change in your diet may cause you to lose as much as 15-20 pounds in a month,

DIETS DONT WORK! Ditch the diet and eat everything you want but in moderation, i.e snack through the day but small amounts and healthy snacks. I eat what I want, including a lot of what is classed as bad foods, but I have maintained the same weight for many years.

You may lose 10-15 lbs in the first couple weeks, but after that, 2lbs a week is a healthy range. Any more than that is not good for your heart.

strict diet will make u loose no weight...
and wat do u mean by strict diet...?
is it a healthy diet that contains all nutrients needed..
or strict as in a slice of cucomber a day..
honeslty you could loose weight fast... and take it back even faster...
unless u follow a diet that contains all the step in the food pyramid..
