I have been in a relationship with this particular guy for over 10 years and since that time i have dealt with him having several other relationships. He recently got married and I didn't even know he was engaged. I never knew about this other woman. Well anyways, whenever she put him out he would come over and I would let him in, but when she would call, he would leave me and go to her. He says he will always love me but whenever I call him and she is possibly around why won't he just answer the phone and talk to me? What's he trying to prove to her?

It sounds like he possible wants you both or is just using you because he knows you will let him. And when him and his wife arent getting on well, he comes crawling to you. I would stop letting this guy do this to you, you derserve a lot better. And one thing...you arent in a relationship with him, if he is married!. He may say that he loves you, but as how??? A friend??? More than likely its not love, its lust. You are basically like a mistress or friend to him and hes just using you. You are putting your heart into something that doesnt even exist. Its time he grows up and becomes a MAN. It sounds like he is just acting like a little boy that will go to who ever he can go to (you) when the s**t gets rough...let him go to his parents or a buddy of his instead. Hang up the phone, stop all contact with him, go out and find a guy that wants you and only you and will treat you right.
One movie I suggest seeing is the Holiday (recently out in theaters). It will put a real perspective on what your going through.

Well...this might sound mean, but it's the truth.....I don't think it matters what he is trying to prove to her, she is his wife. You shouldn't be messing around with a married man. If you haven't figured it out, you are his booty call when his real relationship isn't working out. No woman deserves to be second in a mans life...so just find a new man and let this one go.

Forget his actions cause you can't control them...what the HELL are you doing??!!! Why are you "waiting in line" for a scumbag that needs a woman in reserve to feel like a man...get some respect for yourself get rid of him and stop acting like he is the best you can get....i don't blame him cause his is less than human i blame you for not having the guts to walk away...you have already wasted 10 years of your life I wouldn't waste another day

girl sorry to break it to u but he loves her an not u. ur just his backup. he might care 4 u as a person but his heart belongs 2 her it seems. just move on and be with a guy who will be only with u. u cant possibly be happy who is not there for u when u need him. what's wrong with women this days omg.... sorry not trying to be mean is just that i have a friend like that and it pisses me off that women can be such idiots....

you should just forget about him, you deserve someone who wants to be with you and will treat you right and will always be there, not just when they feel like it.
I know it may seem hard because this guys been in your life so long but you really just need to move on and find someone who will love you for real and be honset with you.
