Well, would you get surprized if it can be proved that Jesus rose from death? It was recently televised on CNN that a group of the world's top scientific minds have concluded that beyond all the science we do know, that there are hints and implications like residue lying all over most scientific theories, that the intellegent mind would have to suspect that such magnifigance must have been created by a higher source. Not that the science is wrong, but that the science was very possibly, perhaps probably the creation of a higher power. These scientists were going public only because they were receiving death threats and such non-sense because they wrote that in an article - You see, a real, true scientist would be looking for truth, not just whatever science is convenient to prove something against a Creator.
It might surprize you to know that the Bible does not have any controversy with true science. Non whatsoever. A true scientist, who is also familiar with Scripture, knows that, even if alot of people generally don't.
Nobody is going to prove that Jesus did not rise from the cross.
It is probable that nobody is going to be able to scientifically prove that Jesus did rise from the cross.
Those two facts are true, and your comment is not applicable or intellegent. But I have to ask: Would it actually make you a happier person to find out there was absolutely no God at all?
I mean, why would that be a good thing? I understand an atheist is an atheist because he simply does not believe in God -
okay, but that doesn't mean an athiest wouldn't be pleased if it turned out that there is one. When I was little, I started to realize there was no santa claus. I saw that okay, I have to accept that fact - I know there is no santa claus. But that didn't mean that if it turned out I was wrong, and someone said, hey look heres santa claus i want you to meet him -- that I would be unhappy about it - I would be thrilled to death.
But you sound like a person who would actually prefer there to be no God - is that right?

Proof by whom? Nobody live (Vatican) or death years ago could ever tell me that Jesus never rose from death! The enemy (Satan) can perform apparitions from supposed witnesses to make people believe it (resurrection) has never happen. The proof is that those suppositions are not in the Bible. God gave us the Bible by chosen writers thorough about 2 millenniums to give us hope in His resurrection for giving us salvation. If that would not be real, what should be our hope today for a lost sinful World?
I as Christian am not surprised that deceivers may want to "teach" new theories about a certain fact that Jesus is alive! You will see Him with your own eyes, when the time comes and you better get ready to be saved!!!

The supposed gospel of Judas was at best written by a man who BETRAYED Christ, of COURSE he would write lies in it! At worst it was written by some people who were actively trying to deceive you.
What about the THOUSANDS of eye witness accounts we have of the people who have seen the resurrected Lord? Do their voices count for nothing? We have more documented eye witness accounts for the resurrection than we do for the existence of Napoleon.
As for the supposed gospel of Thomas, we have like what, 5 fragmented copies of it? The Council of Nicea a long time ago proved it wasn't written by Thomas.

Faith runs deeper than just the text on the page, so even if something "proved" (although anyone of that time period could have written something that survived the ages) that Jesus never rose from death it wouldn't sway a real Christian. Real Christians feel their faith, not just believe what's on the page.

If the gospel was from a gnostic source, dated to centuries after the events in question, and was unknown among the ancient Churches, then I probably wouldn't worry.

Jesus.... Propheised to come by Prophets throughout the word of God throughout the history of man. Jesus who was the fufillment of all of the prophsies. Jesus whose was prophesied by Isaiah as Imanuel which means God with us. Jesus who was born to Mary who was told to name him Jesus because his name is Saviour because he would save his people. Jesus who had authority over sin and death. Jesus who said I and the Father are one. Jesus who said before Abraham was I am. Jesus who said destroy this temple and I will raise it up in 3 days. Jesus the son of God. You are asking me about this Jesus? I say if Jesus did not do as he was foretold to do and pay the penalty of death for all who sin and was not raised again we would all be dead in our sins and perish. I know Jesus Christ and he died for me and was raised in glory and sits on the right hand of the Father and he will return soon. Your salvation depends on it. Mine is assured by it.
