what I was wondering is i have one of those jump drives, or pen drives..whatever theyre callled..idk. but i have a huge project for school that i need to work on over the weekend and i wont be on my school computer...and the computer im going to be using for the weekend, doesnt have open office power point which is what i need to use. so i was wondering would it work to put my already half finished project on that jump drive, since its a powerpoint..and be able to work on it on a different computer that doesnt have open office powerpoint?

No. You can feel free to put the PowerPoint document you are working with on the jump drive but the PC that you move the document too must also have PowerPoint in order to edit it.

NO u need to install powerpoint on the machine u will use or u have to find a standalone copy to put on the jump drive to keep in ur pocket, otherwise no, u have to put the install or somthing oin your flash drive to install it on every computer you intend to work on


IF U COPY THE FILES FROM C:\program files\Microsoft office\ect... to the flash drive they wont work because of the windows registry

there are jump drives which can save programs but powerpoint is not yet one of those programs.

On the second computer where you done have the powerpoint try downloading the opensource one from http://www.openoffice.org/
(its free)

You can save the programs but it won't do you much good. You won't be able to install powerpoint on the other machine and your document won't open without it being installed.
