I am not sure why you set the exact number of 50 lbs. If you are looking to become a healthier individual I suggest going to your local gym and asking for a fitness assessment. This will give you a starting point to compare your results (which in the end will most likely keep you motivated to stay at the gym) and in most cases they will perform a skin fold test. This is used to determine the amount of fat to muscle on your body. As far as loosing weight. Depending on your current weight (larger people can lose greater amounts and it can still be healthy, smaller people will loose weight at a slower rate.) It is a good rule of thumb to go by the 2lbs per week, this is a standard that many doctors / personal trainers use. The reasoning behind that is your skin is flexible, with large fast weight loss your skin can not so call "bounce" back and you are left with folds of skin (Not the sexiest thing in the world.) My suggestion to you is to contact your local gym get that assessment done, hire a trainer and do it right. With good nutrition and a cardio / weight program you can become a healthy individual, and attain your goals.

actually all this depends of your original weight, and eating habits as well as your exercising habits..
for someone within the BMI range of 18 to 25 (which is considered normal) they might be able to loose around 1 kg everything 2 weeks (2lbs)... however if u are overweight (over 25 BMI) it might go faster if u follow a proper diet of 1800 kcal (containing all nutrients needed) and having a good workout plan... the easiest and safest thing to do would to go see a nutristionist.. and please dont believe any fast diet that make u loose one kg a day, because they are lacking all nutrients and could be fatal for ur health, as well they might only make u loose water weight.. which will be easily taken back once u drink a glass of water...
to know ur BMI... you should divide your weight by twice ur height..
ie: 69kg/(1.69x1.69)=
69kg/2,8561 = 24.15
under a BMI of 18= underweight
between 18 to 25= normal
and a BMI over 25 = overweight
please if u have never worked out and followed a healthy eating habit before.. and want to loose that much weight in 5 month.. i would strongly recommend that u seek help from a nutritionist.

I found a great way to lose weight fast and keep it off. I do body cleansing. I lost 13 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. Cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives etc. The toxins get stored in the fat in our body. To shrink the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. To learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. Cleansing was good for me. Good luck whatever you decide to do!

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

2 to 3 pounds a week. your first week you will probably lose more if you are significantly overweight which seems to be the case if you need to lose 50 pounds. make smaller goals for yourself and move up from there. something more attainable. eat small meals frequently. and always keep moving. tapping your feet, fidgeting, and waving your arms all burn cals! good luck!
