I have two xvid movie files which have been extracted, cd1 and cd2 but I am having problems merging them together. So I have tried a number of different software and including Virtualdub but I keep getting this error. Xvidcore.dll not found! How do I go about merging these files together? Video Compression is: Xvid 24bit
Please help me with this if anyone can.

It also says on TMPG encoder that the file I wanted to merge isn't a mpeg file.
The file is actually a AVI but doesn't accept it.

redownload the xvid codec. look for the development package. It used to be online, but it might not be on the official xvid codec site anymore. when using virtualdub or tmpeg you need to check the settings, some transcoding software wants you to locate each codec file manually that's not built into media player. xvid would fall into that category. You could try using 'peck's power join' or even try doing a nero transcode. all i know, is of all the transoding and recoding ive done over the past 10 years (with all formats) xvid merging has caused me the most problems. so good luck, i hope you figure it out.

you will need a video joiner software to join the movie.
