If you only had sex on the 2nd and not any earlier you are not pregnant. 6 days before your period is not when 99% of women ovulate. Normally one ovulates approx. 14 days before your period. If you have a 30 day cycle you will ovulate on CD 16, possibly CD 15 or CD 17. The best way to know is to chart your BBT on fertilityfriend.com. The site can help you pinpoint ovulation.

Most of the home pregnancy tests recommend being a week late on your period for accuracy. If you had sex, you could be pregnant. Yes it is a stupid question. GET ON BIRTH CONTROL OR DON"T HAVE SEX.

Yes, try on the 16th and again on the 23rd. Or just wait and see if you miss your next period.
As long as you do not do anything hazardous to a pregnancy there is no reason to know sooner rather than later.
