Was this person raised there and now lives here? (If the person lives there still, I wouldn't never ever consider moving there) Realize that the culture is extremely different that ours and that the values there are very different. The part I would be most concerned about is the attitude towards women tends to be extremely different. Also, if you ever got married and then go there to visit, and he decides he wants to stay, you have become a Saudi citizen by marriage and may not be able to leave. Complications also occur when children are involved. Maybe you should watch the movie "Not Without My Daughter". It is a true story. Unfortuately these situations happen more than people think. Its all warm and fuzzy to pretend there aren't differences and that people are "all the same on the inside", but the cultures and values are extremely different and that can be ingrained in someone very deeply and people bring their values with them. Not everyone adopts our values after coming to the U.S. Be very very cautious.

If you're compatible in character, personality and lifestyle, then it's okay. I'm married to a man from Iran and he's wonderful to me. But know that if you get into a relationship with him, often the family--especially mom--will expect you to cook and clean. When his family comes, they come for a LONG time. Even if they live in our town, they'll stay and stay and stay.
Luckily for me, my husband shares household duties with me; but he's a rare bird regardless of where he's from. But I notice that he'll get a bit macho when his family is around.
No matter what culture your amore is from, if you're from different cultures it does add a new dimension of difficulty. It's not impossible, but you BOTH have to be working toward having a strong relationship. But that's always true.
PEACE!

its normal, many of them are quite charming actually. you have to be sure about certain things that you would do with any guy.. serious, honest, not currently involved in a relation.. etc.... if he is, and you willing to accommodate the culture differences, prepare to embrace a long life of happiness....

Nothing is wrong about liking different people from different cultures. Just be aware that sometimes people from different cultures do unexpected things that your not used to. Trust me, I know--been there, done that.

I don't think it matters where the person is from as long as you like them.
