It is my understanding that Ancient Egypt was very different to the way it was written about in Exodus, that there were no slaves and that there is no record dof any of the "plagues" happening.
Am I wrong about this? Is there any extra-biblical evidence to back the Biblical version up?

Forgot to add - is there any archeological evidence of the Exodus either?

Geez, people, give me something to look at with evidence, don't just say that there is and leave it at that. I don't take all advice on your word alone...

The Bible is unique (having no equal) in relation to its amazing historical accuracy. You can trust it above and beyond any other ancient document.

I wouldn't expect to find any evidence written on tombs or monuments, since the Exodus story is essential a story of how the Egyptians were defeated. If you were the pharoah, you wanted to proclaim your victories on your tomb and monuments, not defeat.
Some scholars have speculated that the source of the plagues may have been the eruption of the island of Thera in the Bronze Age, but it's a just a hypothesis.

Much of our understnding of the "Biblical" Egypt is based on assumption. The Bible, for example, does not actually sy that the Hebrews were slves - the word used implies conscripted labor.
The plagues are described in ancient historical documents. The Hebrews were probbly a Semitic tribe known as the Habiru.
Ankhenaten sounds very much like the Biblical Moses, and Jewish historians like Josephus interpreted Scipture in that way.
Imhotep hs a remarkable number of similarities to the Biblical Joseph.

No, there is no proof. They changed the book of life to benefit them. ( europeans) Actually, what you see written in the bible about Kemet is to deceive people especially Africans( meaning African Americans, Native Africans). If you look at all the REAL paintings and REAL statues from Kemet you will see that the people of Kemet were African( blacks, ******, colored people, the n word, and all the other labels that they have recieved. There is evidence to back up what I am saying , but it has nothing to do with the bible.
As far as plagues go, jews claim that Moses with his people wondered around in the wilderness with the jews for years, and then Kemet took them in and fed them and healed them. Now keep in mind that when the Moses, who was educated in Kemet, went into Kemet Kemet was a very rich and wealthy empire. Then without no reason, after the jew wanted to leave, according to the bible, God of the bible hardened the king's heart , and the king would not let the jews go. The whole story sounds like something out of a Holly(would) movie. If God of the bible did harden anybodies heart, then that god is a trouble maker, and I want nothing to do with it. This is an evil person. Especially if it claims to know all things. Do the tactics in the bible to deface Kemet sound familiar to what is happening today? Same game with another name.
If someone poor came to your door and you felt compasion and took them in and fed them, healed them, and gave them money. You let them live with you a while and everything was great. The person got on their feet and told you that it was time for them to leave. Would you tell them, oh, hell no, you're not going anywhere, my dayum heart is hardened and you have to stay? WTF I'll stop here because I know I'll get the thumbs down, but who gives a dayum..people are still, after all this time, blind to truth. If you want to share thoughts and research this more you can mail me. I've researched it, I've been there several times and seen it for myself. Like Earth Wind and Fire says in one of it's songs..It's in the stone, the reason we're not standing tall.

actually they have it on the pyramid walls of the Israelites that were enslaved at this time. A good history book to read to bear this out is " The Last 2 Million Years " which will answer alot of your questions concerning this matter. The Bible tells U about And History Bears it out. ( gives u more detail )

Why not read about it in a book on Egypt, they were light years ahead of the Jewish tribes in Israel at the time.

In point of fact, there is a great deal of fiscal evidence.
Archaeologists dig it up and restore it all the time.
It is used to back up the bible constantly.
I don't know where you have looked, but you couldn't be more wrong, sorry.
Below is a study link that can be very enlightening if you will open your heart to the truth.

You should ask yourself is there any evidence that Jesus existed?
If NO.... how come that he is the most excepted person in the world. Who was there (in still in life) to proof that it was him?
Isn't that believe?
Don't you believe when you plant a seed in the ground and you give it water.... that it shall grow to become a plant. There's nothing you or anybody can do than just believe it will grow... it's simple, but we are not able to reproduce the most simple process.
