I am having a hard time with just a google search?? I just want him to be washed. Would a normal groomer do this? Is it safe to bring him to a pet store? Do I have to make an appointment?

Look up pet groomer in the phone book. I know pets supplies does grooming and yes normally you would need an appointment.

Is your dog too big to do it yourself? IMy dog is a 140 lb Rottie & we do it ourselves. In the summer we do outside, and in the winter inside the tub. I wouldnt have it any other way. When you was your own dog that is the time that you really have the oppurtunity to really check the skin from head to toe. If there is anything abnormal YOU will be the one to find it.
In answer to your question, yes a normal groomer will bathe a dog. Pet stores as well - but that is usually do it yourself
Good luck

A normal groomer will wash your dog. However, it is much cheaper if you can find a place that you can do it yourself. I know by my house, there is a car wash that has a doggy wash on the side of it. It's pretty cool, but its the only one I've seen of it's kind

Go to pet smart I take my dog there all the time!!!! It's affordable and they come out smelling clean!!! They also give you a toothbrush and if your dog is a girl they put a bow in their hair if you want it in!!!!! This is a VERY good place to get a dog washed and also groomed if needed!!!! Also if your dog is small enough put it in the bath tub or kitchen sink do it all the time!!! You can use people shampoo because pet shampoo is VERY expensive well good shampoo is !!!! I give my dog a bath in the sink all the time!!!! GOOD LUCK in finding a good cleaner!!!! :-)♥
