I want to purchase solid oak floors for my home (not the laminated stuff). I want the ones that are already finished and don't have to be sanded but can be sanded in years to come. I believe they are 3/4 of an inch thick. What is the best brand to buy? What brands should I stay away from. I know Home Depot sells them but, are they any good.

i'm not a big fan of any prefinished floor, but if you're set you don't want to do sand in place the brand you're thinking of is bruce flooring and they are decent. main reason i don't like prefinished is because you lose the waterproof qualities of urethaned floors. the seams aren't sealed.
