Girls always flirt when they are atracted to guys in some way, but just because they think you hot or you have a great smile doesn't mean that they want to be in a relationship or have a one night stand

Sometimes it is not really flirting, Iam a nice person to a lot of people because I am upbeat but that doesn't mean I am flirting. Sometimes men think a smile is fliting behavior and that is not neccessarily true. Women do not realize somtimes that a man sees things differently than they do. She may just be trying to get some attention. Just don't allow her to tease you or she is showing disrespect.

We (as in humans - I am a guy) Flirt cause it is a natural way to attract a mate. However, since it is a learned activity we practice. Like walking and talking we need to practice.
