dissolve it and make sure that as soon as you dissolve it you use it... otherwise mix it really well before using again.

Are you mixing the cornstarch with a liquid before putting it in your sauces? You should always dissolve cornstarch with a little liquid first.

no it is a thickening agent add flour also
