I got a cat, male, 10 months old, neutered, in my appartment. He lives with my bf and I since the age of 2 months old.
A friend of mine got his little brother (same mummy cat) who is a 5 months old male, not neutered.

During my friend's vacation, I will take care of her kitten. Do you think the 2 kitten will like each other ? They never met before, and I fear that they will fight each other...

If you can, get the two of them together before your friend leaves on her vacation, and see what happens. They may get along fine, if so, you're all set. I would make sure each cat has his own toys, dishes, bed, litter box, etc. to eliminate possible reasons for fighting.

If they don't get along during this first short visit, then you can be prepared with a separate room or closed-off area for the visiting cat. Since it's only temporary, hopefully this won't be too much of an inconvenience for you. Make sure the visitor has his own toys, bed, food, water, and litter box in this closed room, and that way if they fight you can just put him in there and at least he'll be safe. It could be that the visitor will feel that he needs to defend himself from your cat, especially since he's not yet neutered. Or your cat may feel jealous and want to attack the new one. Or they may also just need to get used to each other and then they'll be fine. Either way, at least you'll have a way to separate them if you need to.

Good luck!

hi there, I comprehend- you do not favor someone to get damage. I truly ought to allow you to recognize, notwithstanding, do not panic! I truly have a 12 year old and were given 2 kittens. She hates the different female, so that they ignore about one yet another and at times strive against. yet even as they first got here she grow to be attempting to kill the kittens- it grow to be noticeably scary. I separated them, did the finished towel/smell replace element and issues calmed down. She now loves the little boy- they chase one yet another, notwithstanding it truly is obviously play when you consider that no one hisses or some thing. they only run one way, then turn and run the different. So, this receives more suitable constructive. it truly is too short a time to get worried. keep observing them. also, evaluate putting each and each in a service, placed the distributors close jointly and enable them hiss this out in a secure way. that is how I did it the first time with my 12 year old even as she grow to be 2 and he or she and Phoebe were best of pals (til Phoebe died of maximum cancers). bypass purchase more suitable stuff so each and each of the stuff in the abode would not smell like Bo. good success, you sound so sweet!

just like humans it all depends on their personality. For example I once had a cat who didnt like anyone but his owners and when I brought a female cat to the apartment with hopes he is gonna either beat the hell out of her, or f..k the hell out of her he hid from her and got mad at me when I came back home and even scratched me for the first time ever. On the other hand my other cat was a womanizer he humped every cat on the block and got his *** whooped by other male guys so bad one day that he died. They are all different.

Kittens usually get along ok. It's when you have two adult cats that are already set in their ways and territorial that can cause problems. They'll probably enjoy having a playmate.
