The words "I like you" are for friends that are likable but not too important, such as an aquaintance or co-worker.
The words "I love you" are held in a high esteem for the true blue friends, lovers, and family that care for you no matter what.
Like is a term of flippant type care for another person. Love, on the other hand, is a deep feeling of trust and caring on your part that you show daily to that person for which it is aimed at. Love tends to be a deeper type of feeling, the reason is is that our body and mind BOTH feel it when a certain somone is near us, it is basically an all over feeling of joy, and our body physically responds to the feeling of being in love.

The word Love these days is over rated.
A lot of people say it all the time to friends, family members, co-worker and even strangers.
It is almost the same these days.
However to me, likeing something or someone means that you wouldn't mind being around that person or thing.
where as Loving someone means that you couldn't survive without that person or thing.

Yes there is a vast difference between these two words. i think to say i love goes a little futher or lets say there is intemacy but to say i like is more or less like the agape love.

Yes, I like you means just friends. I love you means a relationship and could lead to marriage in the future.

yes, you can like millions of people, but you usually dont 'love' them all, thats a little more personal. not saying that you cant love everyone
plus there is a huge difference between 'i love you' and 'im in love with you'
you can say 'i love you' to anyone in your family or a close friend, but to say 'im in love with you', thats usually where marriage comes in and cupid and stuff like that

Like is no where near as deep as love, and the word love shouldn't be played around with until it is meant seriously

When you like, you don;t fall in love. You can like doing certain things, but you don't love them. You don't marry someone whom you like, you marry someone whom you love.
