you know i dont mean to be ugly either but that is whats wrong with this world today you gota go to the doctor for a bruise on the big toe......... i never went to the doctor when i was growing up we just handled it ourselves like everybody did before the bandaid came popular now everyone goes for a bugar that wont come out. we live in the country closest house is 33 miles much les a vet or a doctor. i just wanted a simple answer. you people appreantly HAVE WAY TO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS . So yes i took him to the vet and after 500.00 dollars it was a calluse that he had from appreantly from a goathead running through the woods. but thank you for being concerned about me being turned in to the police for neglect. but i guess that is how doctors and vet make there money. I for one can think of other things to spend money on and keep doing old school healing. i see it has worked much better for me. thank you for your concerns. All i asked was for a simple answer loser answers

Sounds like a perinial fistula. There's no quick fix for these. You need to have it looked at immediately or it could lead to a potentially fatal infection.

You have to go to the vet asap. This could be possibly anything. Sounds pretty serious, actually. Could be a tumor or anal fistulas, to name a few. You really should stop touching it as well until you find out what it is.

Failure to provide medical treatment for your dog is against the law and is punishable by a fine or even jail time depending on your state laws. And if this has been going on for two months, it sounds like you would and could be charged with neglect if someone so desired to pursue it. I'm pretty sure court cost would far outweigh any vet bills, but that is your choice to make. Just an fyi on the laws.

I find it hard to believe you love your dog if you're letting him sit around with a boil the size of a golf ball on it's rear end. You're just making excuses as to why you can't take him. You should surrender him to an animal shelter or rottie rescue so they can care for him in the way he deserves to be treated.

Why cant you take him for care? I feel bad for him. Just cuz he isn't chewing at his rear doesn't mean it isn't something that bothers him. Who knows what it is....... I guess all you can do is watch it, and keep looking for ways to get him to a vet. Some shelters will give you assistance for vet care if you cannot afford it, or cannot arrange for transportation. You should look into that. If you really cant take care of him (and really, he should get to a vet) then perhaps you should give him to someone who can. (like take him to the pound) Good luck.

I have had a rott in the past myself. I don't mean to be ugly, but
if you can't properly care for the dog, you should give him to someone who can. What if the place you are talking about should
happen to be a cancer ? The sooner his treatment begins the better
he'll be, right ?

if you truly love you dog you will take him to the vet. Rotties are very special dogs - almost "peoplelike" get him to a vet, or you dont deserve to have him
