I am holding a 40th Birthday Party at my home at the end of February and as I have samll house I am erecting a 3m x 9m enclosed gazebo in my back garden leading off the kitchen door. I am decorating the room etc but how can I make it more inviting for people to enter the gazebo and not congregate in the kitchen which is only quite small. Any ideas please

You could consider putting tiki torches, luminers, or some type of candle or light to create a walkway from your kitchen door to the gazebo. I also agree that the food could be set up outside to, have music playing outside instead of indoors, you may want to create an area for a dance floor. food music, light and a dance floor will most certainly be inviting to the outside. If its cold have an area for heat, bomb fire or outside fireplace. Have fun.

Put up balloons and banners and maybe some confetti and lots of chairs. Make sure the cake is out there and a table with cups and plenty of drinks. As you greet the guests tell them the party is in the gazebo and show them the way there.
have a corner marked off with a small table and chair for the birthday boy or girl to open the gifts at.

Make sure that the food is able to go on paper plates and that there are bins available for the trash.

Good luck!

Put up a sign in the kitchen with an arrow on it stating the party is that away. Or, live begin at 40 inside of the gazebo, don't miss the fun.

People always go where the food and drink are located. So place a table in the gazebo with your food and drink on it. They will congregate out there.

Place some food in the Gazebo. This draws people to it.

You need a heater (if in cold climate)
Decorate on a theme e.g. South Sea Islands and keep the nibbles there rather than in the kitchen - and also the booze!

Lights and defo a Patio Heater, make it nice and cosy. People won't go out there if its cold.

Have a nice time.
