I've met a guy, sometimes we get on really well, other times it's a bit boring. We're okay in bed together, but I can't help feeling we miss each other's point a bit intellectually. There's no one else on the scene and I would miss the sex, but he doesn't exactly set my world alight. Give it more time or sack him?

Is he furfilling a need?

You may want to bring up casually what he thinks the relationship is at and fish for an answer if he's really seriously into it, or just at your level. If he's at your level, then proceed looking elsewhere. There's no harm in keeping your eyes open especially with someone who you don't intend on spending your entire life with.
If not, you should probably talk to him seriously and consider breaking it off because you seem to not want to hurt the guy and the longer it drags on the worse it'll get.

Well it depends what you are looking for in a relationship, or in the relationship with this particular guy. Personally I would want someone I could talk to and get on with intellectually but that is only part of what makes a relationship work.

Think about what is most important to you in a relationship and what you are willing to compromise on and then see how this makes you feel about him.

Sounds to me that you want someone to set your world alight and he obviously doesn't from what you say. Only you can decide and only when you are ready but the bottom line is you want to be true to yourself, honest with him and happy.

Good luck sorting it out.

Sack him. Whats the point carrying on? There are millions of guys you can sleep with, so just keep trying until you find the one you connect with intellectually.

keep having sex - youd miss it! but be on the look out for some one else. just make sure he doesnt get too emotionally involved with you. if hes in love and youre just in it for the sex, thats wrong. could you talk to him about it? if not and it seems like youre both on the same page, stay with him but be on the look out for more :D

Sounds as if you are not getting enough of what you want, when you want it! so are you just bored? the final decision is yours always, perhaps if you tackled the real reasons in this partnership things might improve?
