I find it all very entertaining. Every PGA appearance brings with it not only her further humiliation, but a host of funny comments. This time she discussed her "wrist injury" at length and then said, "but I'm not going to make any excuses" ! Ha Ha Ha, that is classic!
If she isn't getting caught cheating, firing her caddy, or repeating "I'm only 15...16...17" like a parrot, then she is saying something else equally silly and entertaining.
After missing the fairway all day last year at one tournament on a particularly long course she said, "well, I definately am going to hit the weights!" - as if additional strength would some how help her hit the ball straight! Ha Ha Ha.
Personally I would love to see her paired with VJ Singh or Morgan Pressel; maybe they would get into a shouting match or even a fist fight! That would be great.
How long will it be before Nike realizes that she has become a laughing stock and is actually giving them negative publicity? If you notice, most of the news articles about Wie these days have a critical slant and negative headlines. Most of the media and about 1/2 of the public have turned on her.
Too much money too soon has ruined her competitive desires, but she is still funny to follow!
Ha Ha Ha!

Whoever has Michelle Wie's ear and giving her advice is doing her a great disservice to her and her golf game. Either that or they are not doing a good job of persuading her to give up the men's game for a few years and go cut her teeth in the LPGA and hang with Annika Sorenstam and learn how to win before trying to match up with the guys.
Continually missing the cut at the men's events isn't helping her game one bit. Maybe it might have been novelty for her to try her hand at PGA events a few times. However, the rate she is going, she is quickly turning into the Anna Kournikova of golf. Someone who has been paid a lot of money and absolutely no substance to show for it. She is almost at that point where I am asking myself, "Why do I know this woman?".
She really needs to go to the LPGA and learn what it takes to at least play on Saturday and Sunday and win a few tournaments and not make some slappys who barely got out of Q-school look like Tiger. LOL

She's trying to play with the men ...I do feel I have had enough hearing about her but ...I hope tadd Fujikawa 16 now will put the fuss over what peple make out of here
A day after Michelle Wie gave it a good run at Canoe Brook last summer in her bid to become the first woman to qualify for the U.S. Open, Fujikawa made it to Winged Foot by winning the sectional qualifier in Hawaii.
Friday brought the pint-sized sophomore in high school even more attention, and a far greater thrill.
With all the attention on Wie trying to make the cut in her fourth start at the Sony Open -- she wasn't even close -- it was Fujikawa who caused a stir at Waialae as he closed in on history. A 15-foot birdie on the 16th hole put him one shot inside the cut line. Then came a finish he won't soon forget, making a 15-foot eagle on the 18th hole for a 4-under 66.
Four days after turning 16, the 5-foot-1 Fujikawa became the youngest player in 50 years to make the cut on the PGA Tour.

Agree that Wie-Wie has reached close to her burn out stage. She needs to spend a lot more time concentrating on her total golf game rather than lamely trying make a cut on the PGA tour! She once was a decent golfer when competing on the LPGA side, but during the last year she's lost a good deal of her mental toughness and focus. She was pushed too hard early and now should finish HS and then refocous on a decent LPGA career?

Yes, you're right. At 14 years old, she was the darling of the golf world and everyone, male or female, was talking about her, singing her praises, and pulling for her.
This year, it's a whole different 14. 14 strokes is what she missed the cut by. And that's JUST to play on the weekend... she was 25 strokes off the lead.
The Golf Channel did well to kind of "tune her out" yesterday instead of following her around and watching her turn in a 76. I wouldn't want the cameras around, either.
She's just not ready. Someone she puts a lot of trust in needs to tell her that, because the gloves are now off, and people aren't going to tap dance around the subject anymore. At some point, someone is going to say something malicious, and it'll make headlines again - and more than likely, it'll be true.

There really isn't a question but I must take the time to say something about Miss Wie. She is a misled child that is being played by whomever is managing her career. I personnaly am a bit tired of hearing about Michelle Wie. Why doesn't she try something novel like winning a tournament in the LPGA?
PS: I do however like the short skirts

She has the potential to be a great golfer but really should prove herself on the lpga before attempting anymore pga events. Annika Sorenstam has really dominated the lpga in recent years but her pga attempts have been very poor also. It is a completely different game that will be extremely difficult for any woman to win. The yardages make it nearly impossible. Not being sexist, but most of them can't hit that far consistently. She needs to stick with the lpga.

on the pga tour...best case scenario- she makes a cut.
on the lpga tour..best case scenario- she actually HAS A CHANCE TO WIN!!!!
idk if she doesnt understand or something but there is no way that she has ANY chance of winning a pga tour event.

Some of the players she played with questioned if she had a wrist injury. Apparently she injured the wrist in a women's tourney last year, and it hasn't quite healed. Healthy or not, it's time she start earning her way into these tournaments, not just getting sponsor's exemptions. She's taking away a valuable spot in the field for guys that are actually trying to qualify for the tour. And with the new Fed Ex format, some of these guys need all the chances they can get. One fluke victory could be all it takes, especially in tournaments that Tiger isn't entered in.

Well, Michelle Wie can't play more than six times a year in LPGA tournaments because she's underaged and not a member of the associasion. If someone offered you money to play in a tournament with others, men or not? Wouldn't you take it? Practice and an invitation?
