Six months of age is the average, it could be later, depending on the breed. The heat cycle lasts 3 weeks, and she could be bred at any time then, but the second week is what is called "standing heat" when she is most attractive to males, and most likely to become pregnant.
Spaying can be done as early as four months, and she won't come into heat afterward. Then you won't have to worry about a male finding her, and it also lessens the chances of her developing certain types of cancer.

A female puppy first goes into heat around the age of 6 months to 9 months old and it should last for about a week. If you are not planning on breeding her I would suggest getting her spayed prior to her first heat cycle. This will save you from the annoying heat cycle headaches and from any unwanted puppies.

If you aren't wanting her to have a heat get her fixed now,please and if you do want her to so you can later breed her she will go into her first heat anywhere from age 6 months to 9 months and the heat cycle usually lasts 3 weeks, but most importantly don't let her be exposed to any male dogs when she's a pup still.

Usually happens after four months, but it really depends on the puppy, some might start after six months. Its recommended that dogs get spayed/neutered at six months, but this definitely is not a complete remedy. You're dog will still probably go into heat except it won't be as much as if you hadn't spayed her.

Usually a couple of weeks. If your not gonna be breeding your dog please go have her spayed. It's really hard looking after a female dog in heat.

Fix the dog, you don't need to keep her intact. If you have no idea then you have no business with an intact dog.
SPAY HER.

Get your pet fixed then you don't have to worry about these things. Pups can be fixed as young as 6 weeks.
