Then why not give Mexico back to Spain? That is such an ignorant "argument" to try to justify the invasion of millions of undereducated ,unskilled, poor illegal aliens into this nation.
The southwest was acquired via war, that Mexico lost badly and
thru the money paid to its government. We didn't steal it .Mexico lost it..
I think there will be a change in our treatment of theses illegal interlopers soon. Several things that I have read lately have made me come to this conclusion.
The only people that are profiting from the illegal aliens are Corporate America and Corporate Mexico. The tax paying hard working America middle class are shouldering the burdens of paying for the illegal aliens.
Think of it this way too,the more un and under educated people there are in a country ...the more that a corrupt government can get away with.We legal Americans must push more education to our own people too.Be aware of what your government is doing and don't just sit back and let them do whatever they want.
They do not have our best interests at heart.Remember that...
Stand up for this nation, take a stand against the destruction of America and the American way of life.

I know what you are saying. At some point soon the do nothing governments of our country will need to stand aside and let its people deal harsh with this problem, nothing worse than to go to work and having to try and tell a non-English Hispanic on how the job should be done. I'm ticked at the fed government and soon there will be something rotten smelling in the desert southeast and they will not be dying of thirst. WE HAVE BEEN INVADED PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

In my OPINION, (this will be important in a moment) Republican politicians see illegals as a source of cheap labor and Democrat politicians see them as a source of easy votes. Meanwhile, the rest of us have to live with them siphoning social security and other social programs, committing a disproportionate share of violent crime and identity theft, etc... But as I said, that's my OPINION. Can anybody come up with a cite that says what percentage of CITIZENS are in favor of illegals being here, or at least some objective indication of the public's sentiment on this issue?

I agree that it seems to be getting out of hand ... but you have to realize that this started before Bush was in office and with all the elections that took place - this should have been a topic brought out before the elections, to find out what thoughts are out there for solving this issue. I think it is getting out of hand with whats going on ... our system is straining and we can't even take care of our "natural" citizens! And if it's not bad enough that they're coming in illegally we're catering by having everything in a second language ... how long before english becomes the second language ?

Dude, Ted Kennedy pushed thru illegal amnesty with President Lyndon Johnson. This cancer has been growing a long time and is coming to a head. We need to make coming to the USA a less than pleasant experience for illegals. Write your representative. DO IT! Here's the link.

Politicians on both sides of the aisle are afraid to act because they might lose the support of Latino voters, who are rapidly become the largest and most vocal / powerful minority group. They're ALL friggin' COWARDS...
Get used to having to "press 1 for English" every time you make a phone call from now on...

Your country was founded and is made from immigrants (legal or not).
Immigration (again legal or not) decreases general wages and will increase profits for large firms.
this way the 'country' and stock market can continue to increase in value without one overheads increasing.

Me- "excuse me border patrol agent."
Border Patrol Agent- "Yes sir?"
Me- "You now have the authority to shoot on sight anything or anyone trying to come into our country. Spread the word."
Border Patrol Agent- "Yes sir, I can't wait to blow these beaners heads off."
Me- "You just earned yourself a medal son."
