Before having my lunch my pulse rate was 72 and quite light. After lunch my pulse rate is still 72 but this time it is much stronger (stronger thrusts or beats). Has it got something to do with digestion or what is it?

From what you described your pulse volume increases but the pulse rate stays the same after lunch.

This is a normal phenomenon which means

1. Bofore lunch you were probably dehydrated so that the volume
of blood in the arteries had decreased slightly. Hence the small pulse volume.

2. During lunch you are replenishing the vascular volume from intestinal absorption of food and liquids.

3. So the pulse respond accordingly i.e the pulse volume increases.

Hope this answers your question.

Digestion requires lot of blood and hence the pumping is stronger. That is shown in stronger pulse.

Ohhh.... Luv Factory huh?. Ive got the things to keep your pulse at electro shock level. May not look the best, maybe first, seconds, thirds and fourths may be the things to steady your nerves. I want to feel that thump youve got. Honestly, digestion most likely is the factor.

Take your blood pressure before and after eating. Your systolic (upper number) may have increased temporarily giving you a harder pulse—there is no danger in this unless you have high blood pressure anyway and that should be treated.

You're probably unintentionally taking the pulse in a different place where the beat is more prominent.

It really depends on what you had for lunch to be honest. If you had a coffee or a coke or something that has caffein in it, it is probably that which has caused the change.
It's normal and will return in a short space of time.

More likely that you are taking your pulse in the second instance right above a vein so will sound louder........
