God created all things in adult form. Just as Adam and Eve were already adults when created. Then they had babies that grew up into adults. The chickens were adults already so they just had babies (eggs) that hatched and grew up into adults that would make more eggs.

This simple question has a far greater meaning. If the egg come first it mean that evolution took place and the forerunner of the chicken laid the egg. But if the chicken come first then God created the chicken as a chicken, and then it laid the egg.
So to answer your question, the chicken would come first if God created the earth.

Evolution: the chicken evolved from something else and then laid an egg
Creation: God created the chicken which laid the first egg

Actually, the chicken probably did come first, whether you are a creationist or a believer in evolution. Either way, the egg is the particular means of recreating (procreating) the pre-existing creature.
