Where is the best place for a cheap package holiday. I've tried all the usual (lastmin, expedia, icelolly,etc)

Instead of looking for a package, see if you can build it yourself.

My wife and I wanted to go to Amsterdam, we checked all the usual like you and then we looked at just flights, hotels (hotels.com is good for that) and built it ourselves. It cost us just over half the cost of the package.

Try last minute specials from www.bestfares.com.
They are usually for anywhere from 2 to 6 days, and include airfare and hotel, and will add a rental car if you wish, We spent 3 nights in Niagara Falls, fairly nice hotel, for $250pp.

Is your destination flexible? If so, call a local travel agency and talk to one of the representatives there. Explain what you are looking for and let them look for you. They usually have access to some deals that the on-line groups do not.

Have you tried Direct Holidays, they've always been cheaper whenever I've used them.

Also, if you want somewhere in the UK, Haven are doing half price hols at the mo.

no-where - Airtours is buying up the whole Holiday industry.. and expedia - they are a joke have you tried getting a quote from them ...dont believe the hype of internet holiday websites...
