i had my belly button peirced last june and went on holis in july! it grew out and am now left with a small red scar and a pee size lump inside if u squeeze! i would like it done again but am worried that i cant or it wil hurt loads!!
any info on this wil help big time!

Hiya,i had my belly button pierced and it grew a lump on it. got all infected wasnt nice ergh! my body started rejecting the bar so i started takin zinc tablets. if u take them it willhelp your body adjust t the metal and wont push it out i was fine after this. my friend then got hers done and she had problems with hers, hers then ended up bein pushed out also. she tuk zinc tablets and got it repierced it was fine! a tell you if you can get ya belly done once you can get it done again! plus it always luks nice. gud luck xx

If it hurts when you touch it, it is probably infected. If it is red it is infected also. Wait until the scar and redness go away and you can get it redone. If its all good, then you can get it done again. But keep something in it so it will not close up again.

i had exactly the same prob the lump is the scar tissue around the hole, so its there to stay i did have mine re pierced but it became infected and hurt as it was in the org scar tissue, so i gave up after that perhaps your best to avoid it or have the hole in a diff place if they can

hi, i got mine redone and it really hurt. i asked why it was so painfull and they said it was because the lump inside is scar tissue and therefore is very thick and dense. i took it out after a few days because the pain was too much.

Sounds like you have an infection and scar tissue - go to a Doc and get it sorted before it gets really nasty

I have had my lip repierced - no problem, no huuuge amount of pain - just the usual. It should be fine - maybe ask the piercer about aftercare due to the problems last time? (Not saying you didn't look after it last time, just that you could explain what happened and see if they know how to avoid it :) )

leave it alone, and use the fake one till the scar is gone, if you still want it again then get a good piercer and keep it clean.

i would not risk it as it may cause serious infection
