Richard Dawkins, who has been described as the most forceful proponent of atheism today was quoted in an article published by beliefnet.com to have said that.
So why are atheists in this section? Shouldn't they be in the Philosphy or Humanites section instead?

Atheists should be in philosophy and science, and the Religious Fundies should be in the mythology and Folklore section. This R&S section is just an excuse for people to bash each other.

Maybe because we don't blindly follow Richard Dawkins the way xtians follow certain religious leaders, the Bible, and Jesus. I love the irony that the source is "Bullied and Brainwashed"...describes xtian sheep perfectly.

Personally, I find mythology (aka Religion) entirely fascinating! Totally worth talking about.

I don't think religion is boring. Perhaps Mr Dawkins hasn't had a personal experience with God. If you have and know what God can do, why worry about what he said. Many people say things (whether they mean it or not) just for the fun of it. And, if he is an atheist, one day he will learn about God who created the heavens and the earth. He will know what a fool he has been. The truth will set you free. Have faith in God your redeemer.

Religious preference aside, if anyone finds religion "boring and not worth talking about" why talk about it? This Richard Dawkins seems to like to talk about it a lot, despite his assertion it's not worth talking about.

So he doesn't have to talk about it, in fact why would he talk about something he doesn't think exists? I find it quite exciting.
