no more than other countries i dont believe. children can leave home at 16 as long as they can support theirselves. but until they are 17 they are in fact still considered the responsibilty of their parents.

There are alot of single parent families in the UK

children leave home - well i left home at 20 :)

Lots of single parent and step families...!

And people generally leave home when they go to university (19/21) or when they are ready or can financially afford it

Don't know about the numbers, but children leave home whenever they want - no rules about it, it's all down to circumstances.

children leave home when there ready. But it also helps if they have beenable to get there feet on the property ladder. But beware they will be back theyll always want more money ...and food!!!

they just leave home whenever they want!i'm still living at home at 22,but i know people who move out at 16 and people who still live at home at 27.
