It depends on your starting weight.
It might not be within a month, but the way to become slim is to
a) have slim parents
b) diet
c) exercise

I watched an interview with Beyonce in it a few days ago. She had to lose weight for her new movie about the 3 women singers from the 60's (the Temptations?) that is coming out. Anyways she said she lost 28 pounds in a month by: drinking protein shakes, eating fish, and consuming liquid foods (soups, etc.) and exercising everyday. That's pretty good for a month.

You can become slim by doing 'PRANAYAMA'. If you dont know what it is, let me explain. This is only a Breathing Exercise practised by ancient Saints. this will not only make you loose weight but will also make you healthy.
