Typically when dealing with a municipality or state agency they take forever. On the norm the whole process from written, agility, oral exam, psych, polygraph and physical takes a good 6 to 7 months.
Written results I'd say expect no more than 6 weeks. So....you're really sure you want to do this as a career? Tell you what...I was in the Corps from '76 to '81. I landed a job with a municipality in '83 and still enjoy it, although my days on the street ended 4 years ago. Its a young man's job. Now I push paper and field public relations.
Job can be pretty dull more often than not. Here's my advice. If you go through and make it...keep your nose clean. Do not accept graft and do not do anything unethical. Avoid going to public bars with other cops and do not carry your gun into one. Thats just asking for trouble. Make sure you have more civillian friends than cops. Too many cop friends is not good. You'll find as you progress in your career you'll become alittle more withdrawn and want to spend more time at home with the wife and kids. But work all the overtime you can while your young. Stay alert and remember....the gun is really not the thing that'll get you in hot water. Know what will? That goddamn cruiser. Gets you jammed every time because every cop does something stupid with it.
Good luck buddy! Hope to have you join the ranks.

Most departments will have an officer in charge of public relations in which you can call and ask when the results will be posted. My department has this position plus posts the results on the buildings front door by an applicant number given to you at the time of testing. Hope that helps.

If you took the police exam that's your fault. Do not blame us for it. Clearly, you should be asking the venue through which you took the exam, not here.
On a second thought, you seem to be just right for a cop.
