Wait till you see what happen if the horse fall and break their legs.

I don't think so because horse racing makes the horse healthy. Whipping is to steer the horse in the right direction not to make them run faster. Whipping is like whipping your thigh. It stings alright but he the horse is been whipped enough the skin gets tough so they won't feel a thing when they get older. Sometimes the horse breaks it's leg that is downright crule. Every race is a risk that the owner and the trainer is willing to take. The horse Barbaro suffers significant defects in his life that he has laminitis -- a painful, often fatal disease. Most racing horses do have laminitis in their early years.

No it's not and for the person who said the horse was terrminated after it broke its leg it was humanly put down as the horse had no hope of suvival it was in so much pain the only thing a heartbroke owner can do is destroy it.

No it is a sport that has been around for thousands of years.
If you do not treat your horses poorly it is not cruel.
Most of the horses you see racing today are top flight athletes and are treated like that. Most are worth more money than you will earn in a lifetime. They are treated like they are worth millions because that is what people have paid for them.
It is hard to treat an athlete who earns millions poorly.

I don't think so, if they weren't racing on the track they would be racing in the pasture. It's an instict, horses are flight animals by nature.
