After fiding and eventually losing my first true love, what does it feel like when you find a new love? how will I know? what can I expect? At the moment it doesn't really feel possible...my thoughts are still on this other girl. I need guidance from people with more 'life experience' than myself...

Like you said "your thoughts are still on your first love" but it is when you meet someone else you truly like that your thoughts about your first love will slowly disappear, that's when you know you have moved on.
You will never forget your first love and you will always have feelings for them, this is only natural, but you will move on from them eventually. You just have to give it some time and be patient.

All u need is a heart n nt people with experiance only u wil know hw it wil feel when u r in love the 2nd time.1 suggestion-u must get over ur first love its difficult to fall in love with sm1 else if u stil think bout the 1st one.All the best!follow ur heart n may u find a true love 4ever!!!!!

hi, i think first its horrible to loose somone u love,u must have loved her because u cant stop thinking about her,to make it easyer for urself u should try not to think about ur ex,remove all the things that remind u of her,go out and make friends,the first step is getting ur mind ocupied,when the right woman comes along u will accept that ur last love is gone and it wont bother u any more,we all take chances in our lives so no body knows if the next one, is the right one but i think deep down inside we get those little tell tale sighns u will know the ones i mean as u have had them before,like i said no one knows the outcome you have to take a chance to find out,it may seem far away and that it will never happen but it will and remember take a chance not all people r the same,give them a chance too they r takeing the same risk as u,anyway goodluck

give yourself time to get over losing this love.
When you find someone else to love you will know that you love them, just like you knew you loved this person.
It is possible to fall in love again - but you aren't likely to just yet.
My only advice is to just be yourself, let yourself grieve - OK no-one has died (oops, I presume you've split up and she hasn't died, forgive me if I'm wrong) , but love has died and so you are mourning what isn't going to be.
so give yourself time.
You don't want to go on the rebound and fall for someone else straight away.
be gentle with yourself, don't expect other girls to match up to this one. Remember we are all different and unique, so any other girl is going to be different to the one you've lost. But that doesnt mean you wont be able to love again.

hi there... i can tell u from my own personal experience. i had enough of men when i had my heart broke from my first love..then one night i went out with my sister forgettin all bout men and all of a sudden i met my sisters ex boyfriends brother..we clicked striaght away and here we are 3 and a half years later.. u just know when u meet someone... something clicks and u know u r meant to be together,,since we got together we have had nothin but hardship. we lost our son after 6 weeks of his short life and many other things..oue love shone thru and gave us the strenght to follow our lives thru together.. trust me u will find someone when u least want to...

well i experienced this same thing, i was loved a guy and then we broke up and then about a year later there was another guy that made me so happy and he made me feel so speical, it kinda feels like the first time but since you've already loved another you kind of know what to expect when he happens again.
