I will tell you what the vet told me; if you are curious, watch for it it to pass in the next 1-3 days, otherwise, forget it. My 80 pound greyhound ate a huge chocolate chip muffin; still wrapped in saran wrap. The other observation the vet made is when they start passing electronic parts, you worry. She had lost a remote and a cell phone to hers in the last couple of years! You do not mention how big a dog it is, and I assume it did not stick in his throat. If he has a large enough throat and stomach, I'd say you have a funny story for a cocktail party, not a trip to the vet.

It should come out OK but if in doubt take the dog to the vet you can always tell a little white lie that he ate something whilst out on a walk and your worried!! Or just tell the truth it's up to you. My Bull terrier ate a pair of my thongs last week and they re appeared today, won't be wearing them again Lol.

Good! Now his stool will come out neatlly wraped like sausage! LOL Kidding, watch his stool for it to pass, if in a day or two and it does not pass take him to the vet. It could wrap around his intestines or it could cause a blockage.

Ha ha! it will come out dont worry! my dog ate a sock and it came out over a week later! he will probably pass it through with no problems, however if he goes of his food or vomits or is experiencing any kind of obvious bowel problem or discomfort then contact your vet!
Im sure he will be fine tho.

I have a Weimaraner and she likes to eat anything - from coal to plastic bags. And it is not as I leave them for her to chew... She has always regurgitated it so far. But I keep worrying a lot when we have a windy day and all kind of stuff ends up in my yard.
To avoid future "gastronomic explorations" try giving your dog appropriate bones and that kind of things to chew and pass time.

Oh and my answer is if it was lubricated you may see it sooner than later... Call the vet anyway, yes it is embarrassing but, I'm sure its not the worst they've heard. Good Luck!!!

nice one! first take the dog to the vet the condom may act like a rubberband in their intestine and it could cut off the circulation through the intestine.then buy a garbage can with a lid. no seriously they need to go to the vet soon. just in case.

dont worry, he'll crap it out in a day or 2. Dont give it a second thought. Unless in 2-3 days he is having intestinal problems or not crapping, then maybe worry, but my dogs pass HUGE pieces of rawhide, she's eaten tin foil wrappers of candy bars, the big string chunks of play ropes, they all pass. They hae iron stomachs. dont worry, just hope he doesnt get pregnant by swallowing the used condom (just kidding)
