I was wondering what they do with people's bodies when they donate them to science? Do you just end up as a cadaver in a medical college, or what?

Thanks

you sign a lot of paperwork and then your family still has to sign consent, you can always donate to bodyworks, there your body will be on display forever, Supposedly it really helps the medical professions to see it in that form. other wise I think its just cadaver at a med school unless the body isnt normal then it gets studied more. Donate your organs instead, at least someone will get a direct benefit from your death.

Most end up as cadavers, but those with abnormalties, either on the positive or negative side, will get all sliced and diced and examined under the microscope, and have zillions of tests done on their tissues.

Yup, you'll probably get hacked up by medical students. Fun stuff.
