Do you think that anyone including our military personel should have Global Possitioning chips installed into their bodies incase they become obducted by insurgeants or kidnappers? It would sure make locating them so much easier. and the enemy would be found easier because of this. I think they should darn well do this with anyone in any of our forces. Don't you think it would be awesome to be able to locate them right away???

That would never fly in my military. There is just too much wrong with that idea to even explain without discussing sensitive information.

I don't think that would work. What would happen if the frequencies of all the chips embedded in the troops was discovered by the enemy? Mass slaughter of Americans, thats what. Besides, it isn't all that difficult to prevent receipt of the signal. All they would have to do is take the kidnapee into a bunker or a tunnel or even a metal building. The GPS signal would be blocked rendering the chip useless for a rescue attempt.

No! I'm just fine. I don't need a tracking device on me. That's taking away freedom. The government (even though I love Bush)has no business watching every move we make.
In some cases, it could be good to have these "global positioning chips" but I'd rather keep my freedom.

NO, if you wasn't born with it...You don't need it! And it's not like the military is going to swarm in a get the person that is missing. They will weight they're options and if rescuing one person is too risky...The military leave them anyway. Better off relying on good old search and recover!!!

It could make captured soldiers vulnerable to having GPS chips sliced out of their bodies by insurgents.

Placing implants or chips in the bodies of the soldiers for tracing purposes is costly and this is the reason why no such project is being implemented.
