There can be no "victory" in Iraq nor "success" . The whole sad and criminal affair was devised by sinister minds to bring controlled chaos to the area so that American forces would have a reason to stay ad infinitum...and control the flow of oil.
Net result is the proliferation of terrorists the fear of whom has permanently changed our way of life, diminished our liberties, deconstructed our Constitution and reduced us in the eyes of the whole world. Those are the collateral objectives being saught by a sinister, despotic administration. And we are still talking about "winning" for the consumption of the mindless masses that regard geopolitical issues as some sort of a football game with winners and loosers. In fact, there are loosers. all the dead and maimed people, Americans and Iraqis are the loosers. The winners are Halliburton, Exxon-Mobil, Bechtel and all the corporations that contribute to our illusionary "winning"!

Victory can only be acknowledged when it happens. In case you haven't noticed the US army is getting the **** kicked out it in Iraq. They have no idea who the enemy is, where they are, where they will attack from and how they will attack. How can you win such a war when you are up against those sort of factors. Even Republican politicians are now coming out and saying that the US is losing this war and defeat seems to be inevitable!!!!

As for Iran attacking the US... why should they attack the US. After all the US buys their oil. Oh yes. The US talks about sanctions etc but sure as hell these sanctions don't include oil. If Iran wanted to hurt the US they would simply stop selling their oil. They have already hurt the US by beginning to trade their oil in Euros. Iran and the US are mutually dependent on each other for part of their economies.

We have not achieved a victory in Iraq ans the term victory has traditionally been used. A country does not invade another country and reduce it to an impoverished land engaged in civil war and call that a victory. Conducting an initial first strike on Iran without probable cause would be about the worse thing that we could do. This would unite the entire Arab world against us, as well as the Muslim world of Central Asia. Iran, or anyone else for that matter, can hit us with terrorist attacks anytime it wants to. There is enough hatred of this country inside our own borders to do us in. Please do not get suckered into believing that Washington can protect us form every evil---they cannot.
